It works, you just have to do it right. Opening or closing your zipper is a special mouse motion. If you don't do it correctly, your junk will get stuck. Mine was so bad that the frank was caught below the beans.

You should be thankful they decided to added soft tissue damage to genitalia as a fund raising goal. I think it was shortly after the ice cube physics.

That's a producer's role...to produce things...ideally on time and on budget. That says, 'Hey those are all really great ideas you guys keep coming up with but let's just get the base game out first and realize those in DLC/expansions afterward.' Roberts was incapable of it back in the day and he's still incapable of it. He's just going to end up pissing it all away and hope he can sell it someone else to finish it. There's so much feature creep in this product - note I don't say game - that I imagine that won't be feasible however. From everything we've seen so far it all looks completely disjointed and they haven't moved forward in any meaningful sense in years.

What attracts me to it is how far over the bar they are shooting, but don't seem to be approaching it in the least. As a developer, I think I can guess as what is happening; You work on all the core items, with the managers complaining there is nothing to demo, but not understanding all the ground work, the hardest part, is almost done. I feel all these ships they release are just to keep the spectators happy. Either way, after ALL this time, that doesn't explain why the game still runs like crap. They say it is due to the networking, since nothing is done client side (even climbing the ladders), but those network fixes aren't expected until next year.

It's easy to know what's happening. Feature Creep, and not having a Producer to keep everyone on track game and time wise.

They should hire you. A) You'd be better than Chris Roberts. B) Your experience with Amazon means we might get a game out the door before we die of old age.

Not sure if /sarcasm or not. But at this point in time being in Logistics for my time at Amazon means IT WILL SHIP WHEN I SAY IT NEEDS TO SHIP! (CVG9 is the biggest "post office" for Amazon at the time I was there in the world). So if it had to go out by X time we GOT it out at X time.
Now at least from my perspective and understanding of basic game design is that you need to have BASE SYSTEMS FIRST (which I believe is the Alpha stage). Then you start adding features, more coats of paint, more sexy to get to BETA stage). Then you can tweak everything to get to GOLD stage correct?

When you add thousands of dollars of purchasable items in a game it's time to walk away.

I was thinking about playing to see what has changed, but wasn't feeling it. I had forgotten that was doable.

Edit: There's at least 3 streams with it, though one is russian. Just search for star citizen

Lol apparently one said there's a chessboard that's mostly "playable"... except one piece is immovable. I'd say that's probably a nice example of the unfinished state.

Chris Roberts re-invents chess and you can't praise him for the game making genius he is. Clear bias.

For a discerning gentleman such as yourself, I would point you to the $35,000 Legatus pack.

Now that is a pack for a man of culture.

You had better buy two ... just in case your significant other is interested. And, as we all know, CIG needs the money.

The Legatus pack is so special that you have to be a $1000 concierge member just for the privilege of viewing the Legatus webpage.

Like Rudy G's recent performance and the soon to no longer be the LUMPOTUS's blather about his not a hope in hell legal challenges, this is Chris Roberts doing a pantomime of a successful game, all solely for the benefit of the sucker whales still sending him money.

Lets just pray Chris Roberts does not show up on the Republican party's short list of potential future candidates for POTUS.

Pretty sure the odds on that are roughly slim and none, trending towards none. They have changed the "agreement" around refunds significantly over the years.

I've played this a couple times over the years. It's was just so unfinished and alpha that it wasn't all that fun. Last time was a few years ago. No idea how it stands today, but it doesn't seem like they've made all that much progress.
