Does he also not screen test his flicks too?

I suspect at least part of the problem is Nolan fails to realize how much easier it is to hear/understand what someone is saying when you know what they are saying. Many, many times I have backed up the DVR in order to listen to something again. Sometimes I can only figure it out by turning on the closed captioning. BUT, after I know what they have said, if I play it again, I can then hear it. Obviously, Nolan ALWAYS knows what is being said in his films. Hence he mistakenly believes any viewer can also... all that said -- with the exception for one or two moments, I don't remember this being much of an issue in "Interstellar".

Nolan is such a hack. His films just suck.

I think it's a big problem with most modern movies and TVs. So many actors that aren't classically trained don't know how to enunciate and speak clearly. I can't even count how many times I have to rewind something because I'm all 'Wtf did he say? Stop mumbling!'

Not, it isn't. Never has been, never will. It is just a classic soundloop of death of an old Atari game when the Atari 2600 crashed. This is not arts, this is not music - it is an unexpected accident. You don't want that to happen.
