The macros should be able to survive a reboot. That sounds like an issue they need to fix in firmware/software.
You're a bigger man than me going with blue keys must be because you're bLuE.
Those things are so dang clacky, not that I don't mind.
The IBM Model M has always made me tumescent.

I'm also in the market for a new keyboard. Are the silent switches linear? Although the low profile Red switches look nice too, as long as they're not too loud.

I switched over to Corsair from Logitech years ago and have been more than pleased with the Corsair quality....

I love my Corsair k70 mk.2 low profile. You can't really appreciate a premium keyboard until you actually own one. This thing is smooth like butter!

As soon as it was announced I bought that one, silent version was a must and we were requested it on their forum for a while. Last year I bought another one, this time it was the MK.2 version.
Reset your wired keyboard
Most Corsair keyboards have a reset function for fixing unexpected issues.
If you have a K95 RGB Platinum or any MK2 keyboards:
Unplug the keyboard.
With the keyboard unplugged, hold down the ESC key.
While holding down the ESC key, plug the keyboard back into the computer.
Keep holding the ESC key until the keyboard begins to flash.
Unplug the keyboard again, then plug it back in.

I'm sure you've tried the above and plugged into different usb ports as part of your troubleshooting. If you're still experiencing macro loss i would warranty replace it.
