Out of the Blue

Today is the main event here in the United States, as Election Day is finally upon us. But there has been a record amount of early voting this year, so many are already done with this. That includes MrsBlue and myself, as we were able to accomplish our goal of voting last Friday. This actually worked out better than we could have hoped in light of first-hand reports we heard of hours-long waits to cast ballots. I mentioned Friday morning that the snowy weather left us hopeful that the lines wouldn't be that bad, and sure enough, there was just one person waiting outside the door of our polling place. After less than a minute all three of us were allowed in, and we were out of there within about five minutes without having to endure any crowding at all. It seems our arrival slightly after noon was perfect, as there were about 15 people lined up in the cold outside by the time we left. Sometimes you just get lucky. I hope everyone who's eligible votes today or has voted already, and I hope the process is/was as painless for you as it was for us. I also hope that the outcome doesn't end up triggering violence, as the rancor of the election season has many on both sides of the aisle unready to accept the outcome if their candidate loses.

In a timely note, we have a few game keys for The Political Machine 2020, Stardock Entertainment's election simulator. If you'd like a copy, mention it in a comment. I'll make a random drawing, giving preference to supporters.

Elective Round-up

BTW where is that Asteroid/Meteor that was suppose to hit us today?

It had no chance of hitting us, it was just remarkable because it's massive, and almost entirely composed of metals. Theoretical monetary value of it was quite high, assuming we had the technology to capture it and mine it, and somehow not crash all the metal markets, and somehow in articles that got translated to 'it's going to hit the Earth.'

Ugh, 2020, two 'near' miss asteroids? Are they just trying to hard with this season or what?

Well, I didn't need complicated reading to figure that out, even as a German. Why? Because the AFD likes both Trump and Biden That should give you some pause, because it certainly gave me some....

also, it's exactly as entertaining as I expected

Yes, he very much did.

"The Supreme Court decision on voting in Pennsylvania is a VERY dangerous one. It will allow rampant and unchecked cheating and will undermine our entire systems of laws. It will also induce violence in the streets. Something must be done!" -Trump

And don't give me any story about this not being a direct call for violence. I know you can't be that naive. It's very clearly a barely coded message threatening violence if counting is allowed past election day. This is standard mob speak. You know it is, and his supporters know it is.
Thank you.

Clearly, he isn't suggesting a legal recourse against no less than the Supreme Court.
So *what* could be urgently done and by whom ? Hmmm ...
