Out of the Blue

Today is the main event here in the United States, as Election Day is finally upon us. But there has been a record amount of early voting this year, so many are already done with this. That includes MrsBlue and myself, as we were able to accomplish our goal of voting last Friday. This actually worked out better than we could have hoped in light of first-hand reports we heard of hours-long waits to cast ballots. I mentioned Friday morning that the snowy weather left us hopeful that the lines wouldn't be that bad, and sure enough, there was just one person waiting outside the door of our polling place. After less than a minute all three of us were allowed in, and we were out of there within about five minutes without having to endure any crowding at all. It seems our arrival slightly after noon was perfect, as there were about 15 people lined up in the cold outside by the time we left. Sometimes you just get lucky. I hope everyone who's eligible votes today or has voted already, and I hope the process is/was as painless for you as it was for us. I also hope that the outcome doesn't end up triggering violence, as the rancor of the election season has many on both sides of the aisle unready to accept the outcome if their candidate loses.

In a timely note, we have a few game keys for The Political Machine 2020, Stardock Entertainment's election simulator. If you'd like a copy, mention it in a comment. I'll make a random drawing, giving preference to supporters.

Elective Round-up
