I recently re-read the entire series, and enjoyed it even more than on the first read. This is especially true for book4 (or is it 5? The one where they spend their time on one of the alien worlds). It's kind of slow, and small-scale compared to the other stories but it's very important in the big scheme of things which becomes apparent in later on.

Not a fan of Bezos. However saving the Expanse was a nice little gesture. (One that costs him less than he earns in a day I might add) Makes you wonder what the super rich could REALLY do, if only they were willing to upend the status quo and give up some of that wealth.

I tried to watch, err both!
But seriously I did try to watch it and think I got about 5 episodes into season 1. I think something else came out (popular, can't think of what) and distracted me.

A Discovery of Witches is pretty good if you like a British take on Witches, Vampires and Demons.
I thought ADoW was surprisingly good. I wasn't really expecting much from it. Basically it is an adult version of Twilight -- ie.. a love story amidst the social and political problems between Witches, Vampires, and Demons -- and of course, powerful prophecy. But I thought it was very well done. I have a prediction for season two.. secret stuff -> Either Diana or Matthew (probably Matthew) is going to suffer a memory loss during their travel to the past. And only by doing something which has an impact on the future will they be able to restore the memories
I bet your right, because if she got away and trained she probably be too godly.
I was really surprised too, I had never seen Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode act before, but they were amazingly good. I can't believe it, when I went to look up there names, it's already been approved for a season 3 and 2 hasn't even premiered yet. Also, there's a screenshot of Teresa in this amazing outfit, that sure the hell wasn't in season 1 !

Spoilers for season 2, so all you unwashed heathens who haven't seen season 1 DON'T LOOK! Mwahaha

I would have sent to Blue but don't know that he has interest in the show or not.

I read all The Expanse books released so far. The one this season is based on is pretty good.

The book S4 is based on is the worst in the series.

Cibola Burn was a dud and I thought they made something surprisingly good on TV with it considering the abysmal source material, altho they did have to take some material from the next book and mix both a bit to make it more palatable.

Hoping you're right. The trailer makes it look like this season is going to be about character relationships, which I always find the most boring part of a show.

The Expanse Season 5. Can't wait!
I watched season one, started season two, but got distracted by something... I really need to get back to this...

Yeah, it's one of the few shows where season one is pretty bad but then it just gets way the hell better each progressive season. It's the only show since I don't when I've been jonsing for the new season.
I tried season 1 and only got 3 episodes in before I gave up. I really want a good scifi show to watch lately so I might give it another shot if it gets better.

season 1 starts off pretty slow, but i'm a huge scifi junkie so all the scifi weirdness kept me interested. it gets good, and then season 2 and 3 get really good. season 4 is kinda meh considering the epic setup from the end of 3. here's hoping the do something epic and crazy with 5.
