That's what most Americans - on the left - don't seem to understand. That if the Dems sweep it all somehow everything will just magically work itself out and get better. ( ... ) when the Dem leadership are all still major corporatists.

Citizen's United is among the worst decisions ever made by the court.

Well, it would definitely require the overturning of the "Citizens United v. FEC" decision. But yeah, it will probably take a constitutional amendment to really fix it. Which is extremely unlikely to happen.
Beyond that, what's the point? Since they are both beholding to corporate interests you can wipe that off the slate. And anyone who thinks Trump isn't, because he's rich, doesn't fully understand the intricacies around politics.

That somehow there won't be anymore rancor between the left and right. That somehow everything will be much better for most - when the Dem leadership are all still major corporatists. America is over man. It's more likely headed to secession and/or civil war than it is getting better. Even up here things are starting to head that way with some in the western and maritime provinces going their own way. Enh, might be better for all in the long run.
Multivariate analysis indicates that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while average citizens and mass-based interest groups have little or no independent influence. The results provide substantial support for theories of Economic-Elite Domination and for theories of Biased Pluralism, but not for theories of Majoritarian Electoral Democracy or Majoritarian Pluralism.

and the alternative is... Biden
You know something is very broken when "the greatest nation on earth" with a population of 330 million can't produce better candidates than these two senile farts.
At the close of the kaddish, I walked over to him and asked the same question that must have been on everyone else’s mind: “Senator Biden — what are you doing here?”After Trump, I can't imagine anyone better.
And he said to me: “Listen, back in 1972, when I first ran for Senate, Mrs. Greenhouse gave $18 to my first campaign. Because that’s what she could afford. And every six years, when I’d run for reelection, she’d give another $18. She did it her whole life. I’m here to show my respect and gratitude.”
There were no news outlets at our service that day — no Jewish reporters or important dignitaries. Just a few elderly mourners in a basement laundry room.
Joe Biden didn’t come to that service for political gain. He came to that service because he has character. He came to that service because he’s a mensch.

How the fuck can 43% of voters have ever had confidence in Trump? It's fucking mind boggling. Even if you ignore his rapes and other crimes, his debt to foreign nations, he appears to be senile or just a buffoon. This country will never recover from his presidency.

His leadership is transcriptional, he's untethered to truth and institutional values. We can't prevent all the damage this forest fire of a presidency will cause but we can contain it.
Lol. America is just a laughingstock now. I say this as an American-born citizen who currently resides in the USA.

Also this FBI announcement seems timed just to distract from the travesty going on in the Supreme Court, with yet another religious whack job being appointed for life.
