Mass Effect: Legendary Edition Rated

According to Gematsu, the Korean Classification Board now features a rating for the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. We do not see this on the link they share, but we also had to use Google Translate. They share a screenshot of the listing, so this seems plausible. Assuming it's accurate, this adds more credence to the rumors that a remastered collection of the first three Mass Effect games is coming.

It also could be looked at as:

Is Remaster better than modded ME and not talking just graphics, because that is what any of us could do today with ME's easily enough.

meh, i dunno.

those games were UHD for me when they were released along with the memories i made (all of the games talked about in this thread). why pay again just to boot it up, make a nod of approval at the better graphics and then never really think of again?

miss me with that stuff. but another NOLF and NOLF2 run in a better engine and very true to the original might reel me in.

If this completely changes the ending so that Shepard actually is the variable that finally stops the reaping cycle instead of the fucking "Catalyst" simply by bringing together the races so that a united galaxy fucks the Reapers up, and this remaster properly remasters the graphics, I'll be willing to pay hard money for this.

Otherwise, I'd like to keep the painful memory of Mass Effect hidden away in a very dark corner of my mind where it will stay.

I honestly enjoyed Outcast Second Contact, the Outcast remaster. The visuals were stunning despite using the same audio/soundfx from original. Yet they were so good back then that it hardly mattered. I actually beat it this time. Was a good time.

AOE2:DE came out less than a year ago, and it's amazing.

AOE2 is the best RTS ever made, and the definitive edition upgrade was really, really needed.

Starflight remake with the plot of the original and the graphics and sound of today

I was just thinking that when I was fiddling around with crew creation of my gog copy of Starflight 2 and beginning the game. I remember enjoying it those many moons ago when it came out but I doubt I'd set aside the time to play thru it again at this point. EA has released and bought up so many great IPs just to sit on them it seems.

My guess is this is another way for them to force people to buy on ea/origin/orwhateverthefuktheycallitnow for 10 years, before they release it on Steam.

I liked the C&C remasters...the improvement in graphics and sound really make the game fun--of course, I enjoyed it when it first came out, too--along with the Dune games--I'd like to see those resurrected, too...;)

I always was disappointed they didn't do more with the first game--I liked the deep-space exploration aspect of it--but there just wasn't very much of it. The next two were much heavier on combat--which I really didn't like that much. Just seems cheesy. Someone please give me a Starflight remake with the plot of the original and the graphics and sound of today! (Not going to happen, sadly.)

Wow, people liked Mass Effect this much? That's awesome I mean, but I played through Mass Effect 1 and 2 once and was done; I couldn't even finish Mass Effect 3.
Gameplay takes second-fiddle to story for me. And These games scratch an itch by reminding me of my all-time favorite game: Star Control II. Which you can play for free by searching out The Ur-Quan Masters HD.

C&C Remastered was pretty awesome. Mod support/workshop, fully remastered + cover band'd soundtrack with a customizable jukebox feature, all of the expansion maps and missions...

That said, this ME remaster would have to be pretty awesome for me to revisit it.. All 3 have fairly clunky combat. Andromeda's gameplay/combat was one of the best things about it, would be nice if it could be at least somewhat similar.

Within the past year? None that come to mind. However, I will say that Gearbox/BBI did a fantastic job with the Homeworld Remastered Collection.
