Started off liking it then about half-way through it got boring and I stopped playing it.
Now uninstalled.

I was excited to play it, then it felt confined to me, with stuff I could see in the distance, but never get to. Then FedEx quests as well, it seemed like it was presented as one thing, then executed differently

I recommend strongly against. Wasn't terrible, just really meh. Quit about halfway through. Go play it on XGP if you're curious.

I actually agree with this. It isn't awful, but nothing about it was particularly good, either. The combat was dull. The dialog was uninspired. The quests weren't enticing. The NPCs had no personality. It was just... dull.

+1 here. It sort of had all the right ingredients for a great RPG experience, it just sort of never gelled exactly right. Not great, not terrible.

In other news, Outer Wilds is on sale for $15.

I got this a few months back on some other sale, but I just couldn't get into it. Pretty interesting design and scope, but it ends up feeling like a glorified walking simulator, with more steps. At least to me.

As far as Outer Worlds, I'll buy this eventually, but where is the Gog release? Also I'll be waiting for a bit of sale, based on reviews.

Bought it on the Epic store late last year--$10 off for $34.99; bought the fist DLC there, too, for $10 off, paid $4.99. There's just no sense in paying more than you have to for the game. DRM-free, too.
It is well known that I cannot err--and so, if you should happen across an error in anything I have written you can be absolutely sure that *I* did not write it!...;)

The first planet is entertaining but beyond that it gets mundane - They just should've made it shorter and focused more on making their content better. Just seemed so grindy afterwards and the ship/shipmates development again felt lackluster.

I was hoping more of a game like Mass Effect and they had the right stuff, just wayyy overstretched themselves.

I'll 3rd this - though it was good enough for me to complete (yes, I have a problem). Just not very memorable in any way, though generally bug-free. Glad I did it on XGP, as I'll never play it again (or care about DLC, etc.).
Going to jump in and agree. This is EXACTLY the kind of game that I "should" have loved, but it was just so meh. This was the fist game to make me really appreciate XGP because I was able to put about 15 or so hours into it and walk away without feeling guilty for having wasted money.

If you liked Fallout: New Vegas, you will like this. It is smaller and with smaller but more colorful areas or "levels" but that was no problem IMO. Great and entertaining game.

It’s a pretty shit game with fantastic presentation. I couldn’t get more than a couple hours into it, every aspect of it just reminded me of much better games.

The Outer Worlds is kind of mediocre, and very short on content and replayability.
Do you have a single fact to back that up?

Wow, it seems like it was ages ago when TOW came out.

If anyone hasn't played it yet (waiting for it to come to Steam I guess), I strongly recommend it.
