Clearly the advertising dollars are already spent for the Nov 19th release and it's why there's a crunch.
Easy. Crunch is the new trendy word. It isn't always that much of a monstrous practice. Or am I now one of the oldies with a bit of a backbone and a proper work ethic? Think about it. An amazing, multi-year project is meeting its final deadline (after some delays) and the company is asking all their much needed and respected devs to put their backs into it for the last few months, one extra day a week fully paid.
If that is enough to go all Cancel on a company these days, then this world is really thrown to the wolves.
It's not like they're dragging cots in so no one has to leave, a la EA. The fact that it's only six days, and not seven, makes it easier on everyone, too, I'm sure.
I preordered this back before the first delay, along with Bloodlines 2. I'll play it when it's finally released next month. I probably won't finish it for quite a while, though, as I tend to roam around and play tourist in RPGs with big worlds like this.
