I think it's bullshit. Unless you're saying 'Ahhh just gimme whatever.' you're directing the tattooist what to do, style, color, etc. All they're doing is realizing your vision. It should go without saying that a tattoo belongs entirely to the person it's on.

Great, and with an opposing ruling already on file, I can already see this ending up at SCOTUS... On the bright side, if it does at least it won't really have an impact on 99.9% of the populace... Grin

This is unsettling. Because it now sets a precedent and can open the possibility of artists suing you for just having “their” work in a photo or video. I also do not recall signing a disclosure that I had no legal rights to the artwork I had put into my skin. Even the designs I didn’t create myself.

Will we see game companies go after tattoos of game characters.

Oh shit.... I can see the trolls buying up the rights to abandonware games now.
