Except that it's not. Apple's "walled garden" approach is the one defining thing that makes Apple, well, Apple. I don't like it anymore than you do, but at least I'm realistic enough to admit that Apple's exclusivity is it's reason for existence. Companies and products are not gonna be leaving Apple, because they want to be ON Apple. It's as simple as that.
