I played the single player campaign twice through on release, but then Unreal came out just five months later and its campaign blew me away with its colored lighting, transparency, imaginative levels, better music, and so on. I have vague memories of coming back to Q2 after a couple months playing Unreal and finding it kinda dry and boring. I never really got into multiplayer, maybe only played half a dozen matches.
Then Half-Life came out in November... and Tribes in December of '98. What a time for gaming that was! *nostalgic sigh*

People be installing 50 different launchers just to get 100's of free games that cost a grand total of two days of minimum wage.
Actually, most EGS games have been worth well more, several considerably more, and honestly, what harm is a launcher if you only run it when you use it?

Easier and more useful just to buy it on Steam for $1.50 .![]()

Don't have an RTX card so I don't know for sure. Berserker Q2 looks nice enough on my GTX 1060. I wish someone would release high-detail model pack for the enemy characters to use with the mod.
Didnt they release a ray-traced version of this game like 6 months ago? Or was that just a demo?

Cool. More abuse of the "FREE" word.
It's not free if we're forced to use a launcher we don't want to use.
Not only forced to use your launcher, but to jump through all the hoops in that process, and forced to attach ourselves, as an account, to your database of accounts.
