Variety, among other outlets, is reporting that Sumner Redstone is dead at
97. Sumner was my boss on some level, as I was at MTV when it was acquired by
Viacom. I never met the man personally, but have always been struck by an
anecdote about him from someone who did. As mentioned in the obituary, he
suffered serious burns in a hotel fire. The way the story was told to me,
shaking with him was surprising by the hard-edged scars on his hands. His hands
were scorched by the fire as he hung from a window ledge. His intense will to
live that allowed him to hang on as his hands burned and his enormous success in
life seemed to go hand-in-hand, so to speak. I always found this tale to be quite inspirational, as well as a bit intimidating.

Vaccine trial of 30,000 people sounds pretty good. I wonder how long they will wait to discover any longterm effects before ruling it safe... 3 months?
So many people dont believe in the virus, vaccines in general, or the intertwined politics, I wonder if this COVID-19 vaccine will hold up against (probably) intense exposure this winter.

Installed the launcher, logged in, clicked above in Games, All, Library.
Logged out. Logged in again, clicked above in Games, All, Library.
Quake II figured as "Not Installed", that is, it's mine to install whenever/forever.

Victory needs no explanation; defeat allows none.
People need to think of these things. A balloon on a plastic string. It's going to land somewhere and not go away and most likely an animal will end up suffering for it. People need to stop being so fucking selfish and start considering the other life on this planet and how everything we do affects them. Honestly, it would really be for the best for this world if this pandemic wiped out mankind.
