Who was that lawyer that kept going after Rockstar?
Jack Thompson. The absolute schmuck.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Thompson_(activist)If you want to catch up, he was permanently disbarred by florida supreme court, and now "an April 2016 interview with Inverse, Thompson stated that he was teaching civics classes to inmates in the Florida prison system"
How the mighty have fallen. He'd better lay low lol, if he tried any of his crap nowadays he'd get pummeled real quick.
His wiki page is worth a skim, omg he has so much crap he spewed at people. I don't even remember most of this. And likely part of the reason for being disbarred was he started suing the Bar, and he seemed to have an obsession with pornography especially of the same sex type. Like some of his court filings including pornography, he accused some judge of distributing some porn, etc.
Here's a more memorable quote:
"The Florida Supreme Court described his filings as "repetitive, frivolous and insult[ing to] the integrity of the court," particularly one in which Thompson, claiming concern about "the court's inability to comprehend his arguments," filed a motion which he called "A picture book for adults", including images of "swastikas, kangaroos in court, a reproduced dollar bill, cartoon squirrels, Paul Simon, Paul Newman, Ray Charles, a handprint with the word 'slap' written under it"
A good summary from the court:
""cumulative misconduct, a repeated pattern of behavior relentlessly forced upon numerous unconnected individuals, a total lack of remorse or even slight acknowledgment of inappropriate conduct, and continued behavior consistent with the previous public reprimand... Over a very extended period of time involving a number of totally unrelated cases and individuals, the Respondent has demonstrated a pattern of conduct to strike out harshly, extensively, repeatedly and willfully to simply try to bring as much difficulty, distraction and anguish to those he considers in opposition to his causes... He does not proceed within the guidelines of appropriate professional behavior, but rather uses other means available to intimidate, harass, or bring public disrepute to those whom he perceives oppose him.""
