Anthem Rework Loot Status Report

The BioWare Blog discusses loot and equipment goals as BioWare continues with their promised Anthem rework. This offers details from a discussion that started on Twitter, offering a "peek behind the curtain" at "how the sausage is made" in fixing their multiplayer action/RPG. Here's the introduction on creating a more satisfying loot experience:
A good player experience depends on the loot system being extensible and robust, and a lot can go wrong. A lot did go wrong. We fell short here and we realized that building something new from the ground up was going to be required – starting with taking a long look and understanding the best in class of the many great games that inspire us.

..And just earlier I mentioned not hearing about ANTHEM in the EA financials/ goals meeting....

It took them until just now to realize that the loot fell short..? .... & now they are going to take a good look at games that inspired them ??
Shouldn't that have been about 5 years ago ,,-- you know- back in the planning stages ...?

WOW ! Chris Roberts might want to give these guys a call and get them onboard his merry, little wagon too.

No Steve, they have known for a long time about the loot and have been re-working it for a while now. they are just reiterating about the loot.

Give them credit, at least they are re-working the entire game to make it better. They could have said fucking it and left the game as it is. They deserve credit for at least fixing the game and making it better.
