Oh, and another thing on eliminating the penny. Simply allow businesses to round up to the nearest nickel for cash transactions. First, how many people actually pay with cash these days? I know I do because I am a curmudgeon, but I gotta think overall cash transactions are a small minority. Second, allowing businesses to round up will get businesses behind the idea of eliminating pennies. This can't happen soon enough, and yet I'll be surprised if I live to see it.
