Far Cry 6 has been announced, revealing a Caribbean island simmering with revolutionary tension. The Far Cry franchise has always had a flair for fascinating antagonists, and Far Cry 6 will feature Emmy Award Nominee Giancarlo Esposito (“Better Call Saul,” “The Boys,” “The Mandalorian”) as President Antón Castillo, the violent leader who grips the island of Yara with an iron fist, promising a return to its former glory. With an arsenal of weapons and allies at your back, you’ll take on Castillo’s regime and fight for the future of Yara. Far Cry 6 is coming to Xbox Series X, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, and PC (through the Epic Games Store, Uplay, and UPLAY+) on February 18, 2021.
As Dani Rojas (playable as a female or male character), you will help stoke the fires of revolution through guerrilla warfare across the island of Yara, from verdant jungles to the urban streets of the capital city, Esperanza. You’ll use a powerful array of weapons and vehicles, and build a network of allies to fight alongside you, including Fangs for Hire like Chorizo, the dangerously distracting wiener dog. As President Castillo prepares his son Diego, played by Anthony Gonzalez (“Coco”), to succeed him, you will do all you can to ensure his plans don’t come to fruition.
Far Cry 6 is now available for pre-order. Players who purchase the game on Xbox One or PS4 will be able to upgrade their version to Xbox Series X or PS5, respectively, at no cost. Pre-ordering will unlock access to the Libertad pack, which includes the Libertad outfit for Chorizo as well as the “Discos Locos,” a weaponized disc launcher. More information on the editions available for pre-order follows.
- The Gold Edition will include the base game and the Season Pass.

This looks like it's going to be awesome. I'm down for another Carribbean setting that pushes hard on the latin side. While Far Cry 3 was a cool game, it didn't push hard enough a cultural influence. I think it was in Brazil but despite that, I didn't get the vibes too much other than a your in a jungle often... I'm not sure but I'm getting a Cuban vibe with this one.
Hope it goes well cause I found Montana boring as shiiiiiiiit. Luckily, New Dawn fixed it completely for me anyway. I know a lot weren't into New Dawn and said, oh, it was just a reskin of FC5. Yes, but it made it interesting.

Really enjoyed New Dawn, just hope they are more depth and variety... to well... pretty much everything. The game engine and fundamentals have so much potential.
Oh, and you guys better continue with the real co-op you brought us in FC5!
Coop, yes. I'm really hoping they didn't leave it out, that was the best fun I had playing these games was with a friend.
OK, I did a little digging, UBI has the game already up for pre-order. here are some details that I know some of you want to know about Coop. This is straight from their page.
Release date: February 18, 2021
Genre: Shooter, Open World, FPS, Co-op, Multiplayer
Single player: Yes
So, Yep, I'm a happy camper. This is now high on my want list.
Any coop far cry will be on my list, every time.

heh. I never knew frag grenades detonated that way. I thought pulling the pin ignited the chemical sequence which led to their exploding. And they say playing video games isn't educational.![]()

Interesting that they would give him credit from BCS but not BB which is where I'm sure a lot of people were introduced to him.
Either way, I can't get enough of the pollo man so this might be the first Far Cry game I check out.
