Far Cry 6 Details Leak [Jul 10, 2020, 11:35 am ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
ResetEra notes a since-deleted page on the
PlayStation Store leaked some details about Far Cry 6, showing a
February 18, 2021 release date for the next installment in Ubisoft's shooter
series. This includes a confirmation that the antagonist will be Giancarlo
Esposito, of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and The Mandalorian fame.
Presumably the official announcement will come during Sunday's
Ubisoft Forward event.
They offer a
screen capture of the post before it was removed but there appears to be a
better translated screenshot on
DSOGaming. Here's what it says about the game:

A tropical setting sounds cool. I just hope it's not more of New Dawn with the upgrading and enemy levels. It didn't feel balanced at all and that whole thing just annoyed me. Even the lowest level enemies were massive bullet sponges and upgrading the base was just bleh. I found Far Cry 5 proper to be a million times more enjoyable. I really liked that one and the setting.
I had always hoped they would go back to an African setting like in Far Cry 2, but this time have more going on in the world. It was too empty, the checkpoint system was frustrating and barely any good NPCs. A re-do of Far Cry 2 would be cool. I could have sworn back then they said they would do more with the African setting.
