We have decided to move the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 from September 17th November 19.
Those of you who are familiar with the way we make games know that we won't ship something which is not ready. "Ready when it's done" is not just a phrase we say because it sounds right, it's something we live by even when we know will take the heat for it. At the same time we are fully aware that making such a decision costs us your trust and trading trust for additional time is one of the hardest decisions a game developer can make. And despite we think it's the right decision for the game, would still like to apologize for making you wait longer. Our intention is to make Cyberpunk 2077 something that will stay with you for years to come. In the end, we hope you understand why we did what we did.
At the time we are writing these words, Cyberpunk 2077 is finished both content in gameplay-wise. Quest, the cutscenes, the skills and items; all the adventures Night City has to offer - it's all there. But with such an abundance of content and complex systems interweaving with each other, we need to properly go through everything, balance game mechanics and fix a lot of bugs. A huge world means a huge number of things to iron out and we will spend the additional time doing exactly that.
This week, journalists from all over the world are starting to independently play the game. We are eager (and quite stressed) to hear their opinions, as well as see your reactions when they publish their previews right after we air Night City Wire on the 25th of June. We hope this will satisfy some of your hunger for the game as we work to polish it for the November launch.
Thank you,
Marcin Iwiński

Newsflash. It is delayed until 2077. See you then with a completely bug-free and polished to the nines game.

Relax. It's coming out. Be glad they are about to release the best game ever made. Again.![]()
I'm not worried about the game being made. I'm worried that we all won't be around to see it with all the shit going on this year!
If they would have released this in April think about all the world peace there would be? All the people at home playing this instead of rioting? THINK BILL AND TED MAN!

They said just a couple weeks ago it's on track for September still. What changed in two weeks? Urgh. I've been dying for this thing. I can't wait any longer. I have been trying to find good cyberpunk games in the mean time and it's just not a thing it seems. Only one fairly interesting one was the observer.

This is also another reason not to pre-order. With all these delays and CDPR saying that the September delay was the last one. I knew they were lying. If CDPR was willing to delay all the way to September, then they are willing to delay to maybe even 2021. If it finally does get released this year than good. I won't be surprised if CP2077 gets a Jan 2021 release. Either that for companies just like releasing at around christmas time or obvious reasons.
Yup, glad I don't pre-order.
I have several other reasons that I won't pre-order any game.... might be utter crap, might be overly buggy at launch, local store might get it for me (Old reason that doesn't really apply anymore with digital stores), and of course today's example... multiple delays while they hold my money.
That said... most games (95%) aren't even a day 1 launch for me. I like to wait for reviews, usually a few patches after launch, and a good sale before I buy. However there are rare ones that are... Cyberpunk 2077 may be one of the few (Or maybe a closer to a "first week" after some launch stability news).
I don't either. Especially since most have gone digital but if I had to admit, I did pre-order Starcraft 1 remake which wasn't too bad. Then I fell for the Warcraft Reforged. Ugggh, never again after that. Probably for large titles, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 were my prior pre-ordered games. Blizzard's physical collector boxes usually don't disappoint...however I'm not sure I'll do it for Diablo 4. Not sure how I feel about that yet.
Regarding Cyberpunk. I love Witcher 3 and love CDPR as a developer but that doesn't mean I'll go and pay top money for anything they drop. Since I'm not familiar with Cyberpunk as it's the first of their new IP, I'm not into it... yet. Knowing what I know now about Witcher 3, if they dropped a part 4, I would probably pre-order it out of respect, lol.

But think of all the heritage you get with a Bethesda game.
Code all the way back from 90's.
Such amazing tradition is hardly ever seen in the industry.
For bloddy good reasons.

Interesting that this is the day before the day Amazon France had listed the PS5 to be released. Hmmmmm
...and today's a Thursday. Hmmmmm.....
