Out of the Blue

Multiple presentations today make for a surprising amount of news for a Saturday and a late update. There's more trickling out and another day of the Guerrilla Collective show tomorrow, so expect a lot of Sunday news as well.

And that's not even bringing up when he said Beamer and myself should commit suicide.

Done. Easy.

All complexities, the richness of meaningful contrasts in human interaction, the possible good you *should* consider in so many valid viewpoints, no matter the political stances.
Reduced unyieldingly to them *versus* us.
Sigh.

Well look at liberal media. Rioters out there looting, assaulting, and killing people, and the liberal media still refer to them as "protesters". Meanwhile people out there yesterday stopping these thugs from defacing property and looting are labeled as "far right extremists". So anyone who isn't part of or doesn't agree with the liberal groupthink is a "far right extremist"? Who's really doing the labeling and creating the 'us vs. them' in that case? Desperate business owners and employees are getting fined and jailed for opening up to survive but "protesters" have been breaking all the rules and that's perfectly fine? I'm not a fan of either extreme but what infuriates me is the hypocrisy and pandering to the far left.

Maybe some are protesting, some are rioting, and those are different groups?

Good read, this tidbit is something most people haven't noticed or don't understand:
The key thing, however, is that none of this seems to matter to the supporters of the president. For them, the pathology seems to be the point. It is precisely Trump’s refusal to acknowledge reality that they thrill to — because it offends and upsets the people they hate (i.e., city dwellers, the educated, and the media).

Racism is only intentional to them, and only covert. Overt racism, accident racism, well meaning racism, and racism from ignorance all exist, as well. That Avenue Q song covers the latter well, when someone says something racist not because they want to be racist, but that they're unaware how and why it's racist.

Today, though? Some people just want to make the claims that your dad complaining about the Orientals are too good at math isn't racist because he just doesn't understand the issue with the term and because it's actually a compliment.

the last thing that will change that idiot's mind is appeal to rationality, but i like that you guys keep trying. personally i don't have the energy anymore, not until trump is gone. he's a malignant cancer that's made it normal to be a smug, willfully ignorant racist, and it won't go away until their ultimate source of authority is gone. why would they listen to us nobodies when their president is saying it's ok.

Haven't read Sully in a while. Worth pointing out that he's conservative, the former editor of The New Republic. Good read.

You should probably use the quote tags if you're going to quote him tho. Or at least quotation marks.
