From Rep Ted Lieu -
"Dear @realDonaldTrump : The First Amendment stops the government—that’s you—from interfering with free speech. That means you can’t stop @Twitter from fact checking your false tweets. And the fact that we’re reading your excrement on Twitter shows it is not stifling your speech."
Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from accountability.
It's welcome to leave Twitter if it doesn't like them fact-checking his lies.

It's a social responsibility test.

The young ones (who are now of voting age) that only remember 8 years of President Barack Hussein Obama II and thought that was what a President should be are fucking upset and will turn out in droves.

Facebook Executives Shut Down Efforts to Make the Site Less Divisive.

I was listening to Sam Harris interview Jonathan Haidt the other day. One of his explanations for the extreme partisanship we're experiencing is the divisiveness of social media and how it amplifies extreme views, especially since people say things online that they'd never say in person. Here's an Atlantic article from a few days ago that covers the same material. It's too bad that FB is heading in the opposite direction.

“We’ve reached the point of this polarized pandemic where our current plan for salvation is convincing certain recalcitrant men that wearing masks is the testosteroney thing to do.“
