Way too far out. After all this bullshit they'll want money sooner than later. Besides, it's been 7 years since V. It'll be out next year.
And it'll be filled with MTs with the SP as an afterthought.
GTA5 SP content after launch was a joke.
You are out of your mind. Who cares about the online microtransactions? You can completely ignore that side of it and still the offline content in GTA5 dwarfs 99% of other games, just as its predecessors did in their time. They never made any promises about post-launch SP content, that was always just wishful thinking from the fans, same as how they now clamor for an RDR1 campaign add-on for RDR2. That doesn't take away from the massive amount of big budget action-adventure they gave you for $60... I thought people who don't like microtransactions WANT the entire, complete game to be included in that one-time purchase?
I recently played SP again. Its really not that much content. I spent much more time in other open world games. I mean its a really awesome story, and I really enjoy playing it, but its really not that long.
The online content is huge, though. It takes you literally thousands of hours to unlock/buy everything, unless you spend real $$$. And thats what they are making so much money with. Microtransactions. Selling ingame money for real money.
The biggest problems of that game are cheaters, online load times, not having dedicated servers (which also affects cheaters and load times massively) and the horrible and non-uniform controls and UI design.
And as we saw in RDR2 (incl. Online), they dont give a shit about any of those problems. Its like they just reskinned GTA5.
I have given up on waiting for BIS to come back to their senses and do a real ArmA 2 successor.
