Cyberpunk 2077 Presentation in June

IGN follows up on the announcement of their "Summer of Gaming" event with word to expect the June show to include a presentation on Cyberpunk 2077, from CD Projekt RED's highly anticipated RPG. The game is due for release on September 17th, so this will give eager fans more to chew on while they await the game. Here's word:
Preparations for IGN’s Summer of Gaming are continuing apace, but we thought we’d take a quick break from all the planning to let you know an exciting addition to the line-up – CD Projekt Red will be bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to the show in June.

Cyberpunk 2077 is comfortably the IGN audience’s most-anticipated game right now. In our polls, you’ve previously voted for Cyberpunk as the game you're most looking forward to at E3 2019, at Gamescom 2019, and even for 2020 as a whole, beating out the likes of The Last of Us 2 and Halo Infinite with 46% of the vote, and well over 300,000 people getting behind the long-awaited open-world RPG.

Literally the only upcoming game that matters, and the only game that will matter for quite some time once it's released.

The Witcher 3 was irrefutably THE BEST GAME EVER MADE. Fite me on this. You will lose. Your opinions are wrong.

I dunno... I worry with all the expections set up because of Witcher that 2077 will flop because it won't live up to they hype.

Just don't listen to the hype. I remember everyone praising The Witcher 3 as the best sp rpg of all time. IMO, I basically had to force myself to finish it because I thought the story was boring as hell and the combat mechanics were basically your typical spam and roll action game (i.e. I barely had to use more than a few abilities to win every fight). Hardly a deep rpg.

So my expectation is that CDPR took the feedback that they got from The Witcher 3 players and are using it to polish Cy2077 so that it has deeper rpg elements/mechanics and more complex combat (which is basically what most people complained about). So I'd be really happy if they did just that.

What they should do first and foremost is to make the NPC's have real AI. The worst thing in Witcher 3 is that the NPC's don't bother when you steal from them, even Morrowind and Oblivion was better in that part and that npc's don't move from their npc path when you for example ride your horse along that path.

And make the game less a game made for consoles. The combat was really shit!

I just hope the CDPR and Pondsmith stick to their guns in telling the SJWs to go fuck themselves and make the game as it should be made.

I was trying to understand what you're even talking about, as the game isn't released yet, then I looked at that link and saw that it's some ultra right wing propaganda page. "EPA Superfund program should be casualty of the pandemic" and "President Trump is right to 'protect' American oil." At least attempt to read some unbiased news sources, Cutter.

As far as complaints about Cyberpunk 2077, people complain about every game, movie/show and novel, usually without even having played, watched or read them. Why would this game be any different?

No when the released the fiurst 45 min trailer they said so. Unless plans changed since then. They would be awesome in VR. I would totaly buy a headset just for that.

See, I'm just finishing up my 3rd playthrough of W3 - first time was just the main game, 2nd was that and both expansions, 3rd is all of it again - and I still feel it's the best CRPG of all time. That and it completely elevated and changed how games with RPG elements in them should be utilized - particularly how pick up and do quests.

I have zero worry that Cy 2077 will be any less great. I think it'll be the same kind of great, just different because of the genres. At the end of the day though it's still a CRPG. My only concern is some political agenda social justice crap coming into ruin it. Good article on it here....

i mean, I think I'm more inclined to get into the world of Cyberpunk than to The Witcher 3, since I've tried more than once to get into TW3 and just can't seem to click with it. I really don't know why, probably because I'm not really invested in a medieval type setting unless I'm really in the mood for one. When it strikes me I tend to gravitate to Skyrim for some reason. Whatever

Having said that, I'm much more hyped for Halo INFINITE than Cyberpunk, by a far margin. I think the reason the hype isn't more universal is that INFINITE hasn't been shown off much. Just two trailers and some screens. That's it. Cyberpunk has had everything except a release by this point and they say it's pretty much done, just polishing it up. Even with that, it'll probably still be a buggy mess on release. Who knows? You can never tell anymore with new releases. Sometimes it comes out and is just awful and you can't figure out how in the hell it came to this (F76, NMS before it's 'resurrection', A:CM, DNF) and then some that just are there with hardly a peep or problem. I've about given up on pre-release hype in any form these days. Having been disappointed so many times, it ends up almost like PTSD...

I can't wait until this game comes out....but I'm trying to keep realistic expectations. My fear is that they hype may snowball beyond what CDPRed can realistically deliver.
