Riot Looking to Prevent Harassment in VALORANT

A tweet from Riot Greenlilly showing an incident where the League of Legends UX designer was harassed in a VALORANT match for being female inspired a response from colleague Anna Donlon executive producer on Riot's upcoming first-person shooter (thanks VG247). Anna says they are looking into long-term solutions to create a safer environment where such things don't happen:
Gross, this is creepy as hell. This is why I can't solo. I'm so sorry. We're absolutely looking into long-term solutions for making it safe to play VALORANT - even solo queue!

You're going to have a hard time anywhere when you personally attack other posters while trying to make a point. I am not immune to succumbing to annoyance and lashing out but calling this place an echo chamber when you share some responsibility in why your post was removed is not really fair.

I read this thread before watching the clip and was suspecting some of possibly being overly sensitive here, but no.. that was a gross example of harassment.

Not as fun[sic] as you always playing the man when you have no response to being called out on your bullshit - and bonus points for doing it in the most arrogant and insufferable way possible. How is that working out for you?

What is "playing the man" supposed to even mean.

And well, thank you. I'm pretty certain that, by literally any measure, I am much more of a man than you, if that's what you tried to imply.

So you're saying the minor would be treating her the same way were she a male? Ok.

We don't know the age of the "minor", it's 16 one second and 23 the next.

We do know that the streamer is NOT ok with sexism, but IS ok with ageism: "I am like 10 years too old for you then"

Classic hypocrite.

Did this make sense in your head?

But it's fun how we always know which men on this site will get their panties ruffled at a woman saying they don't like something said to them. Always the same guys outraged over a woman saying something isn't appropriate.

I get outraged at misguided thinking. Replace her pronoun with anything else, and I'll still tear it down.

Had she phrased it, "You are too young for me", then that establishes her as the owner of the belief. But by saying 'I am like 10 years too old for you', she has reversed the ownership and projected it on to him, plus stuck a number on. Is 9 years ok for him? 8?

A more appropriate PC thing to say is "You are too immature for me."

Does that make more sense in your head?

Nope, I get that you're trying to prove some kind of hypocrisy, but instead, you kind of come across as a pedo-guy, to quote Elon Musk.

You're incapable of discussion, so you resorted to name calling. And you decide to hide behind someone else's insults.

There's no discussion to be had with someone saying that her treatment of him being a minor is comparable to his of her being a woman. I just assume you're trolling.

Yeah I watched the clip too. She isn't being harassed for being female, as they try to claim. She was being hit on by a minor. Sexism was not involved, so I don't know why they are framing it that way.

So you're saying the minor would be treating her the same way were she a male? Ok.

So you're saying the woman would be reacting the same way were the minor a female? Ok.

lol that's my point! I framed the game in a ridiculous way. Perhaps just as ridiculous as how she is framing her Twitch clip as harassment evidence.

my bad, I missed the sarcasm :-)
