The amount of horseshit that has been shovelled down peoples throats using "think of the children" is amazing.
Do you have a single fact to back that up?
If that bill passes you will see US companies being banned in countries literally overnight. You might as well call this the "spy bill" because that's what its for, not for protecting the children, but to spy on everyone. Fuck that.

It is worse than that. Even if they weren't lying through their teeth, if their actual intent was to stop child pornography, the bill has exactly zero chance of doing it. The people who traffic that stuff will simply avoid any platform where they can't use end to end encryption. So, even in the best case scenario, it is a total waste of time and effort.
