You should watch less fox noise. U.S. ‘wasted’ months before preparing for virus pandemic
A review of federal purchasing contracts by The Associated Press shows federal agencies largely waited until mid-March to begin placing bulk orders of N95 respirator masks, mechanical ventilators and other equipment needed by front-line health care workers.

Yep, I totally agree we were not prepared, but it most probably would not have been any different with another administration. Now I see senile Joe saying he wants the inept governor of Michigan as a running mate. The Democrats need to wake up and put a viable candidate up against Trump and end this circus. And I don't really watch Fox news, I worked on Tulsi Gabbard's campaign.

Tulsi was... something.

Anyway, back in 2016, Obama tried to raise the budget for our stockpile. Only to $655M, but that still shows some concern. Guess which tea party vehemently voted that down, then put themselves in control of the stockpile?

And you totally forgot two things. The first Chinese case of the virus was in November, not January, they just hid it from the world. Two during January the entire country was focused on the Impeachment circus for the entire month instead of the upcoming virus issues. Yes we were not prepared, but there are multiple actors here that bear responsibility.

I haven't bothered to look at one recently -- but I can almost guarantee you a poll of GOP voters would show a large majority believe Trump has done a good job of handling the government's response to Coronavirus.

definitely absolutely most probably almost certainly no chance anyone could have achieved a better outcome than the disaster we're facing now.

edit: and, ya know, just saying, let's not dwell on the past, just in case we might not have done absolutely everything in our power to stop it. but we're totally on the ball as of this moment! the idiot son-in-law non-scientist in charge of a science mission absolutely won't politicize and screw the decision making and hold back supplies from some states just cuz they didn't suck up to president cheeto. half the republican governors aren't ignoring their own doctors and scientists and poopooing stay-at-home orders in the name of money and politics. totally not happening!
