Get Hob, Gone Home, and Drawful 2 for Free

This week's free games are now live on the Epic Games Store. As promised last week, these include Hob and Gone Home, and like last week there's also a surprise bonus giveaway, which is Drawful 2. And don't forget that yesterday's surprise giveaway of Totally Reliable Delivery Service is also still available, for a total of four giveaways. These are all yours to keep if you claim them between now and next week, when they will begin giving away Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments. Here's the pitch on this week's freebies:
Hob is a vibrant, suspenseful action-adventure game set on a stunning and brutal world in disarray. As players delve into the mysteries around them, they discover a planet in peril. Can it be mended, or will the world fall further into chaos?

June 7th, 1995. 1:15 AM. You arrive home after a year abroad. You expect your family to greet you, but the house is empty. Something's not right. Where is everyone? And what's happened here? Unravel the mystery for yourself in Gone Home.

The team behind the hit party games Fibbage, Quiplash, and YOU DON’T KNOW JACK presents Drawful 2, the game of terrible drawings and hilariously wrong answers!

It took Steam almost twenty years to reach what it is now and the pictures weren't always rosy. They just need to make a commitment to continue to improve the service to at least the level of Steam and be patient. I'll continue to support Epic and root for its success.

If Epic started using their money to fund a 30-day refund policy (which could work because they have the power to remove games from people's libraries), I would start buying from Epic. I'm not even kidding. Valve's refund policy sucks! GOG's is awesome but it's a DRM-free thing and they don't have a big library of big budget titles. If Epic did that THAT would be a game changer and it would attract way more consumers than freebies.

I have a crap ton of Steam games and I've never desired a refund. Why is that so important to you? If you research the games and read the reviews provided by Steam, it's hard to go wrong most of the time.

Does that mean the following games are off the hook, inquiring minds and all that...

Here's a list of games I will not buy if they ever appear on Steam.

- Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
- Ashen
- Borderlands 3
- Beyond Two Souls
- Close to the Sun
- Control
- Dangerous Driving
- Detroit: Become Human
- Dauntless
- Genesis Alpha One
- Hades
- Hawaii Shakedown
- Heavy Rain
- Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek
- INDUSTRIES OF TITAN
- Journey to the Savage Planet
- Kine
- Maneater
- Metro: Exodus
- Observation
- Operencia: The Stolen Sun
- Phoenix Point
- Rebel Galaxy Outlaw
- Retro City Rampage sequel
- Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures
- Satisfactory
- Shakedown: Hawaii
- Solar Ash Kingdom
- Spellbreak
- Super Meat Boy Forever
- The Walking Dead: The Final Season
- The Outer Worlds
- Unreal Tournament
- World War Z

I don't support third-party exclusivity and will not reward publishers with a purchase of a game that went exclusive on EGS. They forced me to wait. They told me you can't play on your preferred platform on the official launch day. So they lost a customer.

Kx, why do you need 30 days return policy? Steam’s two weeks or two hours one seems fine. I suppose “30 days or 2 hours” is also fair, and you’re not suggesting they have one without a played-time limit, are you?
