Yup, but not fired like Trish Regan. Laura is a star, and a money maker, after all. All this shit is coordinated at the top. Trish's firing was just optics, not morality or ethics on Fox's part.

Once again, Cutter doesn't know how numbers work. Someone please quote this - the coward has me blocked because I routinely point out how flawed his logic is.

His own article says:
In the winter seasons from 2013/14 to 2016/17, an estimated average of 5,290,000 ILI cases occurred in Italy, corresponding to an incidence of 9%

Cutter, Italy has about 60M people. That 9% is what percentage of the population gets the flu, not dies from it.

Furthermore, your next line says:

More than 68,000 deaths attributable to flu epidemics were estimated in the study period.

Let's do some simple math. What percentage of (5,290,000*4) is 68,000? Hint: it isn't 9%.

You're whining about who is lying and making false claims, when you're not even capable of reading what you're citing, nor of basic math. You're also making the same mistake other people convinced this is all normal keep making - you're looking at how many people died vs infected, rather than died vs recovered, since many people in those infected numbers will still die!

Right now, in NYC, we're averaging about 1 death every 15 minutes. But sure, it's just like the flu.

Stick to what you know. We don't know what that is, yet, but we're certain it isn't anything you're demonstrating here.

*snip to not quote Cutter*

Is it just me that feels like we should report Cutters post for spreading fake news in a global crisis situation? It took me less than 20 seconds to find the actual flu mortality numbers (which are 0.014% worldwide) because world-wide numbers matter.

WHO Statement from 3rd March says mortality rate for Covid-19 is 3.4% while for flu it is BELOW 0.1% (it is actually 0.014%, Covid-19 is an insane 271 times more deadly) if the same numbers were infected by it as is the case for influenza strains we would have 271 times more dead people in a single year than we had by FLU in 2019

And that's simple math. In Italy/Spain the mortality rate is FAR higher because the health-care systems in those regions have completely collapsed. Meanwhile Germany had detected many thousands of non-symptomatic patients before we even had the first death. Our numbers show you how the situation might look if other nations had tested properly, but they don't show a realistic mortality rate because Germany has the best health-care system on the planet but it can just as easily get overwhelmed and lead to situations like in Italy/Spain.

I am keeping to the quarantine regulations... never ever am I going to be responsible for anyone dying!

Until this thing is over no one knows how bad it is. So stop fucking lying and claiming it's a new plague when it isn't. 80k cases in Italy and a 10% mortality rate. 51k cases in Germany and 0.5 mortality rate. There are MYRIAD reasons for that.

Guess fucking what? 9% is the annual mortality rate for flu in Italy anyway! From The International Journal of Infectious Diseases....

nvestigating the impact of influenza on excess mortality in all ages in Italy during recent seasons (2013/14–2016/17 seasons)

Highlights

• In the winter seasons from 2013/14 to 2016/17, an estimated average of 5,290,000 ILI cases occurred in Italy, corresponding to an incidence of 9%.

• More than 68,000 deaths attributable to flu epidemics were estimated in the study period.

• Italy showed a higher influenza attributable excess mortality compared to other European countries. especially in the elderly.

Golly! Imagine that! Jesus fucking Christ, don't you idiots ever tire of being wrong all the time? Try reading some actual fucking science for once.

Incidence is clearly infection, not mortality. You can see that just from the part you quoted. If there were 68,000 deaths over 4 years for an average of 5.3M cases annually, that puts excess mortality at about 0.3%.
