Half-Life: Alyx played on a flat monitor without VR. In this we learn the
details on how this was done. The good news is that it didn't involve any
external modding, but the bad news is that it utilized a test version of the
game that's no longer available anywhere to the public. It also explains why a
non-VR mod for the game will be a novelty, but ultimately will not be fun to
play.
