Call of Duty: Warzone Adds New Operator, and Weapons

The Activision Blog offers a new Call of Duty Overview Video along with details on a new map coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and a new operator, and four new weapons coming today to Call of Duty: Warzone, their free-to-play battle royale shooter. Update: Clarified the map is actually for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (thanks Sepharo). Here's the rundown:
Experience a new battleground with Khandor Hideout. This medium-sized map in Urzikistan supports 6v6 play and has long sight lines and interior spaces to complement diverse combat ranges. The large centrally located warehouse is a hub of activity and haven for CQB players. Hunt down your enemies and be wary of marksmen firing down lanes in Khandor Hideout. This new map is available tomorrow, so ready up to jump in and play.

A new Operator joins the Coalition Ė Talon. Talon comes alongside his fierce dog Indiana thatís also ready for combat. Indiana's skills are on display in Talonís Finishing Move, one of many items in Talonís bundle. The bundle also includes two Legendary weapon blueprints and two tier skips! Visit the Store this week and get the Talon bundle, available tomorrow, to jump into a Multiplayer match or drop into Warzone with this new Operator.

Four weapons - the 725, MK2 Carbine, .50 GS, and EBR-14 will be available in the world of Warzone. Find these armaments across Verdansk in both Common and Uncommon rarities, then take aim against your opponents. Each weapon comes with distinct strengths in its class, consider equipping them in loadouts to see how they match up on the battlefield.

In Warzone, the Battle Royale Solos playlist continues this week. Take the role of a mercenary and fight to outlast the collapse and the competition in Battle Royale Solos. Brush up on tips and tactics in this Games Blog article for Solos or pick up even more in-depth information in the Free Official Warzone Strategy Guide.

I haven't been a CoD fan since the first, but this new CoD is great all around. Of course Warzone is free and that is basically the best part (the single-player campaign is awesome though and a great way to test out ray tracing). That said, I'm also way into Plunder over the regular BR.

Yeah my friends and I are pretty exclusively playing Plunder.
Finally starting to run into teams that actually give us a run for our money (literally) and not just rooftop sniping and unending parachutes.
That's still there of course but it's nice to encounter teams attempting the objective and getting that money.

I'm really enjoying the Plunder mode. BR is not for me, because I spend more time in the queues and menus than the game thanks to my skills lol

But Plunder has respawns, and doing mini missions with your squad is great. The guns are fun to shoot too. And it's surprisingky tactical and strategic if you want it to be.

Call-a-doodie, call-a-doodie, call-a-doodie, call-a-doodie, xbox go home.

Sorry... couldn't resist.

Does anyone actually play this shiz? I mean this IP seems way worn out.

Yeah I do. First BR I've enjoyed since PubG and Apex Legends.

So as for the single player campaign, it's pretty damn amazing and scary to experience what soldiers/civilians were/are experiencing in the middle east. This was their reboot (last one I played was Ghosts and didn't get very far cause it was horrible).

As for the Multiplayer, I can't speak to Rainbow Six, but the gameplay and shooting/game mechanics are very solid (and have been for years) and then throw that in a BR map with unique systems that really feel like old school Blizzard (take aspects from Apex Legends and polish it up super shiny and sexy).

And it's fucking free. Go enjoy it.

Which single player campaign? For CoD? Or Warzone?

Well if ya bought CoD, Warzone just automatically is updated to it so it's not a stand alone product, but was refering to the single player campaign for CoD.
Gotcha.

To be clear that's not a new Warzone (the BR) map but just a regular new COD map.

The new operator and 4 new weapons are available in Warzone mode though.
