Everything glowing - can't wait until Friday.
But, what is coming after this. What other fps games are in the works?
Literally the only game that matters is Cyberpunk 2077. Nothing else is even remotely interesting.
Couldn't disagree, but would like something that won't be all consuming. The fps roadmap looks bleaker than it's ever been.
But yes, cp2077 is going to be a black hole that absorbs the entire industry for weeks. None of us can even look elsewhere.
Have you already played every decent FPS over the past 5 years or so?
Yeah quick chime in on that. I never touched Dishonored until the past couple of months. Can't believe what I missed out on during it's initial release. The original doesn't look all that bad for it's age. The sequel though, holy crap. Maxed out, it easily competes with just about any FPS out right now. Very impressive graphically and game-play wise in it's own right. If you like a stealth intended game that you can really play any way you want including more on the aggressive side where you are detected and can easily win fights, then this is for you. It isn't Doom, but it's awesome.
To Jdreyer - I'm sure I'm even more behind than that. Last FPS I did was Prey, about 6 months ago, which I adored.
I still have New Deus Ex 2 to play. And, Xero, I have Dishonored 2 - I loved the first (played it twice), but somehow never bothered with the second.
Both those games are sitting in my library. Same with Far Cry Primal. And Alan Wake, and The Darkness II, and Dead Island, and Dead State, and DUSK, and Just Cause 2, and Sleeping Dogs, and Tomb Raider & Rise of the Tomb Raider, and whatever EGS has given for free. A huge wealth of AAA action games I'll probably never play, haha.
It's times like these that we populate our game libraries with dozens or hundreds of unplayed games.

I didn't like the corny demon-pentagram-Hell-skull theme 30 years ago--like something out of a grade C horror flick...;) I always thought even then, "That's all they could think of? That's it?" I'll pass this up, too. I bought some of the older games when they were new--but invariably lost interest after 10-20 minutes of the repetitive button-mashing gore fests...;)

Reading their review, I'm still going to get the game. "Immense," "combat...adds new elements, arguably too many" with some complaints about the story being convoluted. It's all good, man.
I am still deep into Phoenix Point(started my game up again, fuck the middle game of that game, currently) and still playing Division 2, so maybe in a few months, DOOM:E.
