Haha guys, apart from the fun and calling out.

Really, Cutter, you have your stance taken as we all do, it is what it is.

Just saying that coronavirus in serious cases, can leave lung scarring affecting the quality (and shortening it) of the rest of your life.

Also the matter of our action or inaction impacting other people's health.

Personally, I don't want to risk it.

Anyway man, take care and best of luck

Cutter, please consider that the travel ban may be doing you a favor.

All over the world and in USA, credible scientific sources are painting a grimmer picture day by day.

Maybe, just maybe, the threat to your life and everyone´s is real.

I´m hedging my bets, have a stock of food for a year plus ( mostly dry legumes like soy and green peas, lentils, corn, etc, and tuna, ah, and the mandatory toilet paper of course ).

No more food delivery for me, I´m finally cooking, yeah !

No visits from nor to anyone, including my daughter and ex, only cellphone from now till whenever.

Being retired I´ll go outside, only in hours when there is few people about.
Buses, subways, trains are a no no, and so on.

Give it a thought.

How is much ado about nothing doing me a favor? It's not the bubonic plague, get a grip. I can't wait to see the end of this thing to see people asking themselves why the fuck they were freaking out in the first place. Time for a new mantra, like Dave said to HAL in 2010, 'I have a message for you and I want you to repeat it over and over as many times as possible' Say to yourself, "It's just a flu virus. Everything will be fine."

The only reason it's not is because media is acting irresponsibly as usual profiting off of FUD. If it's the end of the world as we know it - and you feel fine - why bother prepping when you're just delaying the inevitable or do you have some Omega Man scenario playing out in your head? Your move, imperator.

You're definitely the guy that, when things don't go all apocalyptic because the precautions worked, walks around claiming that the precautions weren't needed because things didn't go all apocalyptic.
On the eve of the United States of America declaring a National EMERGENCY. Irresponsible media Government hoax

Goddamnit this is fucking my shit up. Was considering going to NYC and Washington DC for a few days each as flights from Southwest are super cheap atm - $50US for those. Except now they may be closing the border with the US and the Mayor of Washington DC just declared a state of emergency - fucking seriously?

Ok, so back to the Carribean instead? Of course now I don't want to go if I may end up getting stuck in one of those places for a couple of weeks. Guess we'll have to see how it shakes out over the next couple of weeks. Hope that translates into some steep sales on flights and hotels all around.

So far only 11,000 tests have been conducted in a country of 327 million people.
By contrast South Korea, tests roughly the same number, about 10,000 people, every day. In total, South Korea has tested 230,000 of its 51 million people – 130 times as many per capita as the US.

The NCAA tournament getting cancelled is a bummer. I was looking forward to 40-48 hours of basketball over four days. But on the bright side it wasn't something I spent any money on.

Worst day in the market since '87, but half as bad. In 1987 it was a 20% decrease, only at 10% decrease today. Fortunately, I moved 2.5 years of withdrawals into cash in late November/early December. So, as long as the markets can recover in the next two years... I should be mostly unaffected financially.
