Outer Worlds is very skin deep and barely an RPG, boringly unchallenging combat and tropey fetch-quest gameplay.
Very much disagree. It's the one game I actually installed Epic's launcher to play rather than wait for the Steam release. I thought it was fucking fantastic. 30 hours flashed by in the blink of an eye I was so engrossed. Just to support Obsidian, because devs making great singleplayer games these days deserve to be rewarded, I'm going to buy it again on Steam when it launches.
It's one I want to get to. The complaints often seem to be that it's something you've done before, and it's stripped down. The praises seem to be similar, that it's stripped down and is 20-40 hours instead of an unnecessary 100. With no time for 100 hour games anymore, really, this sounds like something I'd be pretty down for.
