Why is it silly? You said "nothing ever changes" based on who is in the White House. I gave you an example of how something has changed based on who is in the White House. Are you disagreeing with the basic fact that Trump has changed the budget for the CDC, or that the CDC has any effect on disease control?

I'm not doing either because your example of what *could* be different *if* something else happened is as immaterial as it is pointless. You are focusing on pointless minutiae while I'm looking at the big picture. Diseases can and will happen with a fully-funded CDC or none at all. I don't care. All I know is that over the years who has been in the White House has had zero affect on the inexorable downward spiral this country has been on. To even think that any of these cookie-cutter millionaire career politicians, who couldn't be more out of touch with us 'little' people had they spent the last 50 years living in solitary confinement on the moon, could or would make a damn bit of difference is utterly laughable to me. Go ahead and route for your guy or gal, because he/she cares, and can make a difference. I'm not stopping you.

I could give you hundreds of examples of why this is wrong, but here's one to get you started. Every year since being in office Trump has been cutting the budget for the CDC. Because of Trump, the country is now worse equipped to deal with a large-scale virus outbreak. It's highly unlikely a democrat in the White House would have done that.

That's a pretty silly correlation to draw in my view. If that is what you consider proof of why "nothing ever changes" is wrong then please don't bother with the other 99 examples. I could give you a bunch of examples proving nothing changes, but what's the point? You're going to believe what you want. We haven't had exclusively Republican presidents with a Republican-led Congress or vice versa in the last hundred years, yet the country has been moving in the same general direction without fail. Hell, before that idiot Gingrich ushered in the "Republican Revolution" in the '90's, the Republicans hadn't run Congress for 40 fucking years. Yet here we are. Spare me the lectures on the importance of voting, please.
