1- Metroid: Samus Returns

Melee mechanics, LOL. It was the right choice to go platforming, but just that thing killed it entirely. Had they gone full nostalgia SNES style gameplay, it would be a success.

Even better is 2. Death Stranding, which yet awaits dah PC release, and historically such type of games always perform much better on PC than on consoles

Point is, bit premature to call that a sales failure ^^

I am gonna fun-fact you because I've seen that statement on twitter by nubs and found that pretty funny.

Funfact: Death toll for viral infections is not related to current infection levels, it is related to past infection levels (usually 7-14 days ago) because to die from the virus you gotta have it first. And you can only count as infection when you go the hospital and get detected.

And nothing about this is slowing down

Point is, nobody dies from being counted infected, you die week later from complications. So death-toll stat has a lag issue

You'd think that, then you remember that the 124 people Germany flew out of China corona related had to pay for that flight. Oh, you want to be saved from a deadly virus ( to be fair mostly deadly because Wuhan is suffering a collapsing healthcare sector ) better pay up!

And same in schools. Actually an argument could be made that children are paid for those 8 hours a day instead of the inverse.

Yes, Cutter I know they put solar panels on buildings. I also know that Japan has a high population density and those calculations include the entire land mass. Japan's land mass has plenty areas where they can't build. Besides, it isn't like covering the roof of a multi-story residential building would come close to producing enough electricity. Listen I agree they should use as much recyclables as they can, but it isn't going to be enough. And leaving their existing nuclear power industry in place would have been more environmentally friendly than building 22 coal based power plants...

And of course there are problems with recyclables too...wind turbine blades are piling up in landfills (might be pay-walled if you been to bloomberg enough times..)

Geothermal maybe. Solar and wind, they don't have the acreage for. Has anyone done commercial level power generation on tides or waves? Last thing I saw was an attempt on tidal changes at some location well known for it and the results were okay, but not great -- further research was clearly needed. Your suggestions might be a long term answer, but in the short term nuclear seems the best choice despite the problems.

What I read was that Trump would be acquitted by 53 Republican senators. If he went down to the Senate and shot one of the Republicans dead, then he'd be acquitted by 52 Republican senators.

I have to admit I was flabbergasted by Romney's speech. I'm still wondering if it's just political or the man actually has a conscience.

Yeah... Japan really over reacted to the Fukushima disaster. I realize current nuclear power is not a great thing, there are big problems with it. But when you are a tiny island nation your choices are limited and contributing in a measurable way to climate change isn't exactly in your best interest. They needed to double down and spend all that money on improving their nuclear facilities, not dismantle them. Fukushima was avoidable if they had take better precautions.
