The California fires can be directly attributed to the environmental lobby preventing PG&E from clearing the areas under their lines, yet that never ever gets mentioned

My guess is that it doesn't get mentioned by the press because it's total BS.
Exactly, the only thing that prevented PG&E from clearing the areas under their lines was shareholder profits.

Walt likely blames Australia on arson...

Gee who would have thought that since they have already arrested a bunch of arsonists. It is always easy to blame something when it is extremely difficult to prove or disprove such.

The California fires can be directly attributed to the environmental lobby preventing PG&E from clearing the areas under their lines, yet that never ever gets mentioned. We can't have anyone blaming environmentalists.

As to the carbon inpact of streaming is another obvious joke on the public.

Yes, they arrested arsonists. Incidentally, they've arrested arsonists in Australia every year that arrests have been a thing.

I wonder why, this year, their fires have consumed damn near the entire country. Almost as if something in the environment had changed. Almost as if "but they arrested a guy for starting a fire in the woods!" is the rallying cry of the right wing disinformation sphere, without them being able to at all explain how 24 arsons started a fire that's consumed more land than Europe.

Given your spat of posts here this morning, one praising big businesses as being infallible, one whining about social media, one denying basic science, and one whining about free speech, I am pretty sure I can accurately predict all of your political opinions.

While the original culprit is debatable, the continuation of the fires and the sparking of new ones has been almost exclusively the result of pyrocumulonimbus and lightning strikes from said fire-induced storms...

"Big Think" inflated the numbers several times over, and is, very literally, owned by the infamous Koch brothers. The same that pour millions into organizations that "question" the existence of man-made global warming.

Plainly put, it's a blatant lie published on a seemingly legit platform in order to make people believe there's nothing they can do to effect change, that they're as guilty (or even more so) than any corporation, and to just accept the status quo and keep consuming.

Something something against a wall...

Anyone who thinks watching Netflix changes the climate in any way, shape, or form is a real dunderhead, imo. It's like CA blaming "global warming" for fires almost always started by arson on uncleared brush and woods (by CA "forestry" regulations.) 100 years ago people might have said of some event "It's God's will." Today, little has changed, but the all-purpose culprit to blame is now "global warming"...;) Ignorance is bliss, as they say (for some, I guess.) I guess you could say, "The devil did it," instead of "global warming did it," but, really, that provides no useful information either, does it?
It is well known universally that I do not make mistakes--so, if you should happen across an error in that which I have written, please be assured that *I* did not write it!...:)

Despite the Dark Web's mostly negative connotation, new research from PreciseSecurity.com has revealed that over 30 percent of North Americans used it regularly during 2019.

Yeah I'm gonna' call bullshit on that one. I seriously doubt even 1% of North Americans have used it even once.
