Darksiders Warmastered Edition
Deceived by the forces of evil into prematurely bringing about the end of the world, War – the first Horseman of the Apocalypse – stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell. In the slaughter that ensued, the demonic forces defeated the heavenly hosts and laid claim to the Earth.
Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible.

Become the terrifying force which everything fears but nothing can escape. As I groggily crawled out of the bed post-NYE blood orgy, I saw the billowing, shadowy form of EGS beckoning to me. Its maw spread wide in a hellish grin as its twisted hand held forth three glittering new titles for me to download and enjoy. However, I knew what must be done before these gems could be mine.
I grasped the profane blade and cut from my side a pound of my own flesh. Next, I donned the raiments of a Trump supporter. Last, I registered as a Republican.

Yeah, but it's over a week, so less than half a game per day. EGS is getting cheap. I might have to go back to Steam.

I don't see it. I have no reason to give them my credit card info, and giving me a bunch of free games doesn't change that one iota.
I'm sure they're getting more publicity, but that's dwarfed by the publicity they already got from Fortnite.

The giveaways, exclusivity deals and $10 coupons are all designed to increase EGS' install base. Epic is bleeding money with this strategy but they believe it will pay off in the long run. Lose some money now, earn more money later.
Unfortunately, their plan isn't going to work until they actually provide a competitive service that people use when given a choice. So if a game is available on Steam, GOG and EGS, people need to consistently choose the EGS version in order for the platform to be considered a success. Right now, there's zero reason to choose EGS over its competitors and Epic doesn't seem to be putting much effort into changing that.
Yay, games I've already had on steam and not played for years. Steep was already free on Uplay a few months ago. I'm fairly sure I got a darksiders game and steep for "free" on PS+ in the last 2 years too.
But hey, free games for those who don't already have them.
