You might try something like revouninstaller and use it to nuke every folder, registry entry and every bit of leftover detritus after uninstalling.

Giving that a go now. I've done several restarts without success.
Fingers crossed.
Edit: After all that, I don't even know how it worked, but it did. After a combination of reboots and all that, it just... came good. I installed that Revo program but didn't even end up getting a chance to use it.
One of those things.

whatever you do don’t try anything more than the mere basics of troubleshooting ... because we are ... the uber entitled ... pc ... master ... race![]()
Such as disabling your firewall and adding commands to the launcher shortcut before running it, that kinda thing? I don't know, maybe google just likes you more than me today, but nothing that's been proposed as a fix worked for me.
I've just left it running now. "Please wait while we start your service". Yeah yeah yeah. Been at least a couple hours now.
It's pretty funny, I just want a new game to play and the survival update to World War Z ticks all the boxes, but I literally... cannot... buy... it.

Beyond Two Souls for 7 bucks! Since I sold my PS3, I think I'll get this. Only finished it once, and that was a long time ago.
The EGS sale is way more exciting than Steam's. That 10 bucks coupon is sick. Subnautica Below Zero for 6 bucks had me buy an EA game. Idon'tbuy EA games.
I'm not surprised.

Into the Breach has a bunch of squads to unlock and some of them will really click while you will hate others. It's a subjective thing so sometimes people will only really "get" the game once they unlock their favorite. The game really punishes you for mistakes but it is much more fair overall than FTL which had some seriously annoying RNG issues at times. There are few situations you can't think your way out of if you're careful.

I have over 500 hours in FTL, but I never bought this one because it looked boring. I'll give it a try now that I have it, but I also passed back when it was $2 so it's not about the price- I've just heard enough people say that it is actually fun even if it's nothing like FTL.
As much as I absolutely adored FTL (especially the 'Advanced' edition, along with some of the major mods, like the one that lets you free roam indefinitely and gives you tons of more weapons and gear to buy), I just couldn't get into..uh, Into The Breach. I dunno why, it just didn't grab me. Maybe I didn't understand the rules correctly? Was I the only one?

Same. I have over 600 in FTL. Over 400 in the 2 new XCOMs combined. But this didn't capture me.
In truth, all I did was the tutorial mission, which isn't really giving it a chance. I'll get back to it some day. But, there's so much more FTL to play. I still haven't won with every ship on Hard!
