2019 Steam Awards: Outstanding Visual Style Nominees [Dec 11, 2019, 8:01 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
With the nomination phase of the 2019 Steam Awards complete, Valve is going to
reveal the nominees for one category per day over the next week, culminating
with the list of Game of the Year nominees one week from today. Community voting
will then begin on December 19th, and they will unveil the winners on New Year's
Eve. This page
has today's list, which covers Outstanding Visual Style along with a video
offering a glimpse of said outstanding visuals. Here's the list of nominees in

These devs are the Willy Wonka of eye candy. Visual style doesn't aspire to real-world graphical fidelity (though a noble goal in itself)… it describes a distinctive look and feel that suffuses an entire game. This game displays visual cohesion and expression that not only fit the game's world, but make our world look paltry by comparison.

I haven't really seen or played the others , but the 1st Subnautica was really a surprise,, I enjoyed it alot , so I went with Sub: Below zero for this.

I had a lot of fun with the first Subnautica. They did a fantastic job creating a beautiful underwater environment. I'm eagerly waiting to play Below Zero. Just not going to play it while it's early access.
I prefer Steam's Game Awards. Outside of the GOYT, the categories are unique. Fans do the voting.
