Strictly for the very casual gamer. AAA gamer need not apply. Google will cancel it within a couple years. |

Seems foolish to buy games to be hosted by Google since they aren't known to stand by their services for the long run.
If you could swallow that pill, what kind of games would you want to play with added latency? The only thing I would consider would be some strategy games, maybe.
So... no reason to give much consideration to any of this. |

I'd need a PC to run Stadia on anyway. Might as well save the money I'd spend with Stadia to put in a PC upgrade once every 3 to 4 years. |

i had the beta and it worked fine but check out the microsoft offering instead, will be much better than this in all areas. |

I don't expect many here to. It isn't a product made for us (which many here seem to miss.) |

Tried the beta and it was impressive - for what it is - but not paying money impressive by any stretch. Google are dabblers. This'll be gone in a year or so. |

What about multiplayer, btw? Do they do "crossplay" with normal PC players? Or do they use their own pool of latency gimped, AI script infested (some might call their "negative latency" scripts cheating) early adopters? |

Currently yes, you need a pro subscription to access stadia which you get 3months of free if you by the founders pack. Next year when Stadia leaves 'founders' launch there won't be a required subscription to play. |

This thing is like Fallout 76 but start from the other end...
Fallout 76: You buy the game at full price, then spend $$ for the stupid subscription
Google Stadia: You spend $$ for the stupid subscription first, then you buy those games at FULL PRICE!!! |

Stadia includes some games (currently just Destiny 2), and some need to be purchased. They plan to increase what's included, but...
Meanwhile, I'm dying for Orcs Must Die 3, which is only happening because of Stadia. Can't imagine how their dev's management has made decisions around that game. The first two were critical darlings that sold well, the third was a free to play multiplayer piece of garbage no one wanted, and when it failed they wanted to kill the series rather than go back to what works. |
