Out of the Blue

We had a brief snow flurry around here just moments ago, a reminder that the climate in the new home of the BlueTower is surprisingly cooler than the old one. We only moved about 30 miles north, but it's about 10℉ colder here right now than where we came from. I guess this is another preparation that our recent trip to Minneapolis helped us with.

I am really looking forward to the Bond movie. I hope Daniel Craig goes out with a great one. The ones after Casino Royale have not quite lived up to that one, unfortunately. I'm now singing the Bond theme in my head. Also, I wonder what watch he will be wearing (well, obviously an Omega).

I'll put my bet on a Planet Ocean. But I'm an old-school Bond purist, so anything but a Rolex is blasphemy.

I lose.

WTF Texas? After police dogs retire they used to be just euthanized? That's pretty fucked up Texas.

It's Texas. They lead the nation in capital punishment.

Texas police weren't allowed to adopt their K9s? That's horrible...

I know a K9 officer in my town, and he has his old "partner" living with him and his wife, and it's funny (and also sad) to see the dog still get so excited when he's ready to go to work in the morning, and then he leaves without the dog, and the doggie just stands there going "But... but...?"

Poor old K9s.

There's a cute comic about a retired military dog's adventures with a little kitten called Pixie. google "brutus pixie comic"

Death Stranding is available for Wishlishing/preorder on Steam today. Engadget reports it will also come to Epic Games Store. Both versions will be available Summer 2020.

That transplant is damned amazing - it nearly is fully functional - only thing missing are the testes for semen production, and if they were present they would likely generate viable sperm, according to the article!

Thanks to Reddit I found out that to check temperature and other info in RDR2 you have to double tap the left Alt key - seriously Rockstar? And to change ammo types it's the Z key - another unmapped key. Aside from minor annoyances of Rockstar's usually lousy ports I friggin' love this game.
