It is the land of 10,000 lakes. My reference dates back to the first trip we took I mentioned. At the time I mistakenly called it the land of a thousand lakes, an error I recently heard repeated by the announcer at a Vikings game. Someone here corrected me, and, amazed that there could be 10,000 lakes in one state, I read about it, learning that this is understated, and that Minnesota actually has more than 14,000 lakes. In fact, the article I saw when I just Googled this for verification says there are more than 15,000 lakes here, so they must have had a recount.

Never ceases to amaze me how whirlwind fast funerals occur. It's like by the time you're feeling the full impact of the shock the viewing is that day then the funeral the following. For something so heavily ritualistic and important you'd think there would be much more time involved. It's like let's just get this done and out of the way ASAP.

The 737 Max will be allowed to fly again in the US. It isn't something I agree with, but I'd truly be shocked if it didn't happen. I'm far less certain about its fate outside the US. Other regulating bodies might actually be willing to stand up and say it is a fundamentally flawed aircraft and will not be allowed to fly in their jurisdictions. Only time will tell...
