Ok now.. what about RDR1?!?!? I never played it because it was console exclusive and my friends rant about that game.

There's lot of stories why RDR1 won't be ported, dunno which to believe. But you can play it on PC via Playstation now. I think there's as free trial as well.

But that's streaming, right? So you need to live near a hub, and have good internet bandwidth, right?

Streaming RDR1 wouldn't be so bad. It's not like the game required twitch reflexes to play.

The Steam delay is more about pushing sales to the Rockstar Launcher than anything else. It's annoying but whatever, I'm not picking this up until December anyway. The Rockstar Launcher edition preorder throws in some cool freebies by the way.

IDK, maybe I'll check it out... never felt compelled to grind through GTAV's story, and the clunkiness of online modes was too much for my low-latency expectations.

I think everyone knew this was coming after they released their client, but still nice to see.

I wonder what Humble will be using before the Steam release, or am I reading that wrong? I think pretty much everything I have ever purchased on HB was ultimately a Steam key. Not complaining, I was 100% OK with that.

Humble sells Uplay keys, Epic keys, Origin keys, Bethesda.net keys, etc. as well. It's just up to the publisher and whatever they give them. Same for Green Man Gaming and the rest of the resellers.

What a dick punch to gamers pushing the steam release to December. No way in hell I'm buying it sooner.

Oh, I'm sure Cockstar will REALLY learn their lesson and reconsider their miserable existence if you buy the Steam version in December then Wink .

That said, I'm surprised it's not a Rockstar Launcher (RGL) exclusive mirroring UbiSoft's model of going EGS and uPlay exclusive with the latest titles (on the other hand not since R* greed is even more infinite than Ubi's). Maybe they are saving that for GTA VI when the RGL will have become more widely known and accepted through RDR2.

Despite the improvements with RDR2, I honestly like RDR1 better. Playing RDR1 on the Xbox One X enhanced is awesome. The game is old but still looks incredible. Even the original, non-enhanced, on the 360 or PS3 it still today looks amazing.

Seems obvious they are planning on DRM of some kind if they aren't distributing through GOG, as well as Steam. Sad. I have no interest in supporting the EGS, and I think it reflects poorly on any game being sold through the EGS under exclusivity, as it seems to indicate that the developers themselves have little confidence their game will be good enough to sell through on its own.

It's launching on Steam in December and of course they will use DRM of some kind. Not worried about it.

1 month exclusive?!? Timmy running out of money already?

He probably offered the biggest bribe to date, hoping for 6 months or a year. Then Rockstar laughed in his face and said no, that gets you 1 month, bro.
