NEVER use Cheat engine with the setup version because it has adware.
I use the portable Cheat engine "speed hack" slider that allows to slow down 99 percent of games to any speed you want.
This is for those pesky QTEs (Quick Time Events) as in Resident Evil 4, or difficult sequences or bosses (some Tomb Raiders, some Silent Hills, etc).

Been looking for something to make Rogue Legacy slower. I'm too old to get much past the first area.

jdreyer,
Iīm 64 years old, splaying fingers all over the keyboard isnīt as easy.
Older gamers will specially benefit with aids like GlovePIE, FreePIE, or the game slowing down function of Cheat Engine.

Even so I still give hell to those ESO online young whippersnappers Fight

Didn't mean to imply GlovePIE had adware. I've talked with its dev enough to know it's highly unlikely he would do something like that. Meant that since GlovePIE's website isn't up anymore and you might end up downloading it from a free download site like Download . com which have added adware to their downloads before.

Didn't know GlovePIE still had features FreePIE didn't. I've run into the case where neither had a feature I wanted, but the FreePIE devs made a module after I asked. I know GlovePIE's dev was happy and amazed with how many people have found it useful.

Hi.
Out of curiosity, tried FreePIE a few months ago.
Didnīt find it as feature complete and useful as GlovePIE, even if it is not developed anymore.
As to adware and whatnot, GlovePIE never had any.
Just test it with an antivirus as with any software.
Itīs portable, doesnīt have a setup, just unzip anywhere and use it.
Works fine for me.

Anyway, will keep an eye on FreePIE, glad it exists.
Always ready to use the more advantageous software released.

The problem with RDR2 controls won't be fixed by rebinding them with something like that. They just had the same buttons doing inconsistent things, unintuitive.

They'd have to have an improved binding menu that would let you separate the actions on to different keys.

Frankly I am not comfortable with Auto-Hotkey because I find its method too intrusive and forceful.

Instead, GlovePIE has a very light approach.

Note to Creston and jdreyer -I am not a newbie, was joking-

I posted a second, ampliatory post about GlovePIE explaining how to get mouselook in pc games that donīt support a mouse at all.
In that post I commented that I go back to Voodoo Extreme times, no less.

Cheers !

Seriously? I bought a PS4 last month basically just for this game (and Spiderman), cause I didn't think it'd ever hit PC! Ah well, there's plenty of other great PS4 games I can get to justify the purchase lol.
Yeah, PS4 is the best bet if you want to play exclusives.

And I guess Rockstar will have my money twice. Though I'll probably wait six odd months until the modding community really begins to spring to life. At the very least.. so they can fix the games god-awful UI.

So they havent improved at all since GTA 5. Sounds worse actually.
Ive never seen a more unintuitive UI and controls like in GTA 5. Even after 700+ hours in it, I still often am lost in menus or bring up the phone instead of the action menu and press the wrong button because they have no logic or uniformity.

GTA5 has the most amazing UI ever invented by mankind compared to RDR2.

Well, I come daily to Bluesnews since the Billy Wicked Wilson Voodoo Extreme days -RIP, bless his soul- for gaming insights, some laughs, and some wide eyed popcorn eating internecine infighting.

Never post myself, but as I always liked your consistently well thought out postings, seeing your common keyboard problem, I *had* to finally sign up and say someting for once =)

Very glad if GlovePIE should help you in those dumb keyboard layout.

Ah, for
**creating a horizontal mouse look in games without mouse support**, just paste this

example -for this use the same keys the game uses for looking left or right-
of course you can assing new keys for looking left or right, and then assign to them the mouse movement.

Key.Left = delta(Mouse.DirectInputX) < -1 in mickeys
Key.Right = delta(Mouse.DirectInputX) > 1 in mickeys

another example

Key.G = delta(Mouse.DirectInputX) < -1 in mickeys
Key.H = delta(Mouse.DirectInputX) > 1 in mickeys

for vertical mouse look, again, use the same keys the game uses for looking up or down-
Key.up = delta(Mouse.DirectInputY) < -1 in mickeys
Key.down = delta(Mouse.DirectInputY) > 1 in mickeys

Up, down or any keys the game uses, and your mouse axis will do this now.
The Y axis in particular results in some delicate movement, use it or not, depends on the game.

Crazy stuff, the "in mickeys", the programmer must have been a Disney fan.

Well, will post again in 17 years =D

What? Nezt month? Not an announcement for somewhere in 2022 or whatever? NEXT. FUCKING. MONTH?!?

I'm so excited! And I just can't hide it! I'm about to lose control and I think I like it!

I'm very surprised there's hardly any excitement in this thread and people are instead complaining about the now very rotten debate on EGS and exclusivity. Was it such a dead give-away that RDR2 was coming for PC or something? Or has the child in most of y'all died?

Remember remember the 5th of November. I'll take a day off and watch a good old western with a fat cigar and a nice round bourbon the evening before.
