I’m loving the 2nd Amendment clowns in here: ‘guns protect us from the tyranny of our own government!’
You mean like when the gun owners protected the Japanese-American from being roundup in concentration camps?
Or when they prevented the government from separating children from parents at the border and stuffing them into overcrowded cages?
Or when they prevented authorities from snatching land from Native Americans so private corporations could bulldoze it and place an oil pipeline there?
Where were they when the PATRIOT ACT was passed or when we decided on an ill-advised and illegal invasion of Iraq?
Oh that’s right...the gun crowd consistently side’s WITH authoritarian decisions! Could it be that they are, in fact, the ‘fascist bootlickers’ they accuse others of being?
Amazing how there is a consistent theme in each one of your examples: A government action that didn't necessary have popular support. By the way, both parties have been guilty of these things, you know. Right?
So, bright guy...who would stop that government action, if not the people? Are you saying all of the gun owners should have stood up and defended those others? Or let me guess, wave a bunch of protest signs instead?
