If Hong Kong had a second amendment, PLAN would have used it as an excuse to invade and quell an "armed insurgency." As long as the uprising stays non-violent and unarmed, they have the support of the rest of the world, and Xi can't use force without setting China-world relations back 20 years.
And I would agree.
Despite the fact that I have a full understanding of why the Second Amendment is important(at least in the USA) I am no fan of guns (never owned one) or physical violence in any form. (never started a fight in my life. Finished a couple though. Not proud of that. had no choice)
However, like I said, Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.
If the Chinese Government decides "Damn the Torpedoes" I (personally) would like my chances better if I had a gun than without.
The Chinese police have already been smacking into 'em.
Now that I think of it:
It seems like a fair trade..
1.4 Million disgruntled US left wing communists for 1.4 Million Hong Kong based US patriots.
I'm sure those Portland pANTIFA (always in a bunch) would be much happier under communist rule in China.
You are being conditioned to view your freedom as "selfish".
