They're fine as they are. A car isn't a battleship. A quick glance at the radio or map on screen is all you need. Way safer and easier to see and use a large touchscreen in the center console than fumbling around with a phone.

Screens in general in vehicles are too distracting.

A smartly laid out HUD on the windscreen and WORKING voice command is the future.
