It would help if you read the article. You would realize that the logic operation paper was published only a few weeks ago.

"Original Research: Y. Wan, D. Kienzler, S. Erickson, K.H. Mayer, T.R. Tan, J. Wu, H.M. Vasconcelos, S. Glancy, E. Knill, D.J. Wineland, A.C. Wilson and D. Leibfried. 2019. Quantum gate teleportation between separated zones of a trapped-ion processor. Science. May 31."

The source article on Quantum Teleportation was published on the NIST site in 2015. See:
https://www.nist.gov/news-events/news/2015/09
(broken up because yoyur site ahs restrictions on word length)
/nist-team-breaks-distance-record-quantum-teleportation

I see a lot of things on the net that give the appearance of being "recent" but are in fact somewhat old, especially in the more esoteric R@D fields. And frankly, as each website picks up on the original report they modify it through their interpretation.
While posting the information is useful and not to be discouraged in any way I recommend that original sources always be cited.
