I would only pre-order if I want that limited deluxe edition, otherwise i just buy digital version whenever I am ready to play.
I'm not normally one to splurge for collector's editions, but I was totally ready to grab one for this game. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be available for the PC version of the game, only physical console editions, at least in the US.

I got mine yesterday from BB. It was available again for a short time yesterday. Maybe a couple hours (far longer than I expected, tbh). Nowinstock let me know about it, and I'd been watching for some time. I had already ordered the PS4 collector's edition from both Gamestop and Best Buy, and now I've got the PC version. Considering either canceling the others or keeping them and selling them later on Ebay for a markup. Not sure if I wanna risk keeping the console ones on order though in case the game sucks. :/

And they're already taking pre-orders... smh

Preorder Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt RED will 100% feel entitled to produce a "Minimally Viable Product" because they already got paid. THey will also add MicroTransactions to force you to pay for the rest of the game too.
I'm cool with it If they add Battle Royale.
Only if it's a combined BR-MOBA hybrid.
Well duh, it doesn't take a brainiac to figure out that's what I meant.

Gyaku. They'll be able to afford to polish it before release.

Dumb question...
Is the trailer/cut-scene powered by in-game engine/graphics?
I'm asking because the smoke physics look amazing.

Haven't you watched the 48 minutes gameplay reveal video released in august 2018?

Let me find that link for you... There you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjF9GgrY9c0
Sure I did but THAT smoke effect (or physics) wasn't there, IIRC.

Well they did say in the old video that it was a WIP and not representative of the final product. Could've been added in since then. It did look like it was from the in-game engine.

Yeah, I was wondering this too. They didn't specifically say, but I'm willing to bet it was in-engine.

Awesomesauce

Its releasing in April 16th, 2020. Right around the corner?
Compared to the SC release date, it is!

By the way, did anyone see the E3 presentation when Keanu Reeves was on stage?
I was laughing my ass off. I think he was drunk!

Maybe, probably more likely just nervous. How often has Keanu done a live presentation before? Seems like a guy who was talked into doing this.

Kxmode wrote on Jun 10, 2019, 12:27:
A film must follow the rules established to gain the classification as a cyberpunk film. Cyberpunk is about people living in a society where technology, AI, body modifications all intersect. Where living underground is a way of life, it's where jacking into a virtual environment to damage, sabotage, and steal information of value is commonplace. It's about tapping into the underworld of seedy Operatives, and Fixers who mingle with the dregs of society for their profit. It's about mega-corporations who have so much power that they act as governments hell-bent on controlling nations for profit (not to mention armies to enforce their will... or provide services for a profit). It's about pushing technology to the limit of human imagination and people willing to kill to obtain it for a price.

You're literally confusing Shadowrun & Cyberpunk 2020 TTRPGs for the entire genre. By your own metrics none of the movies you name *actually* qualify as cyberpunk except maybe Johnny Mnemonic and Strange Days. If we expand that to fiction, 2/3rds of the Sprawl series by Gibson gets ruled out, along with most of his short stories. It eliminates Snow Crash and it eliminates When Gravity Fails and most other cyberpunk fiction.

CP is a dash of transhumanism alpha 0.1 and a world where life, conformity, and individuality are all cheap, disposable commodities and influenced by Japanese international business acquisitions of the late 70's through the 80's. It's a wider sub-genre than most people give credit for, because it's an attitude applied to speculative science fiction.

Of course he was drunk. He is a boozaholic. I wasn't laughing my ass off though. I felt genuinely sorry for the poor guy. I hope he can break free from the chains of addiction one day.
